January Monthly Favorites: The Best in Beauty

Hello, lovelies! Happy Monday! I’m kicking off this week with my Monthly Favorites for January 2018.

Each and every month, I will be sharing my monthly favorites, a list of products that I have been loving from said month. All the items I feature will include a link so that you can purchase for yourself, if you so choose.

My January Monthly Favorites below are all the beauty products I was obsessing over. From skincare devices to eye shadow palettes, take a look at my monthly favorites.

Schick Intuition f.a.b.

I still remember the first time I attempted to shave my legs. I was in the fifth grade, and basically massacred my legs. How did I manage to do that? Well, I thought you could use the razor in an up and down manner. It was so bad and hilarious at the same time.

This new Schick Intuition f.a.b. razor would have most certainly come in handy at the time. Its bi-directional blades are meant to allow us to shave in both directions. And the razor head features an advanced moisture gel for effortless gliding. I love that this product helps better prevent nix and cuts, and it provides better hair removal.

COVERGIRL Katy Kat Gloss

There’s something about cute packaging that always gets me, and COVERGIRL’s Katy Kat Gloss comes with a “kitty-cap” that is simply adorable. Designed by Katy Perry herself, this lip gloss is highly pigmented (so expect an intense color), moisturizing, and super shiny. My favorite shades are Cateloupe, Kitty Karma, Cobalt, and Purple Paws.

Too Faced White Peach Palette

Too Faced did it again with this gorgeous eye shadow palette that deserves to be part of your makeup collection. It comes with highly pigmented matte, shimmer, and glitter shades that smell like peach and sweet fig cream. Yum! All the colors are absolutely stunning, but I’m partial to Peach Passion. It’s just so unique!

beautyblender Chill

I don’t know what I did before beautyblender entered my life. This little sponge is a legit game-changing tool when it comes to makeup application. The brand recently introduced a new member to the beautyblender family — this cool ocean color beauty. It’s the same soft beautyblender we know and love, just in a tantalizing shade. I actually own the pink, orange, and black one as well.

Beautyblender’s idea behind their latest innovation was to introduce a sense of calmness to our beauty routine. I really love the serene, “just chill” concept behind it.

Dermaflash 2.0

Skincare is a top priority for me so anything that can potentially help my skin appear flawless, I’m down to try. The Dermaflash 2.0 is a lightweight device for your face that provides painless and quick removal of dead skin cells, built up debris, and that unwanted peach fuzz. For this at-home facial exfoliation, it takes a 3-step process: Cleanse with PREFLASH, use Dermaflash (you have the option of two speeds — gentle or invigorating) and glide across the contours of your face, and finally, massage the skin with POSTFLASH to hydrate and balance it after treatment.

Dermaflash 2.0 is a bit on the pricier side (retails for $189), but it’s definitely worth the splurge.

Breakups to Makeup Compact + Tote Bag

One of my favorite things about Breakups to Makeup is that its founder happens to be a fellow Latina. Angelique Velez started B2M after dealing with heartbreak. You can’t deny that with its brand messaging, empowering messages on its products, and cute art, Breakups to Makeup easily becomes a must-have.

Their latest launches, mirror compact with two unique designs and the Glowing Tote, add a touch of inspiration to makeup enthusiasts’ daily lives. My absolute fave is the compact which reads: “If you don’t see how beautiful you are, you need a new mirror.” I carry that one with me everywhere I go.

Honest Beauty 3-in-1 Detox Mud Mask

I love masks and this one is the ultimate skin pick-me-up! It purifies, conditions, luminizes skin, and minimizes the look of pores. The Honest Beauty 3-in-1 Detox Mud Mask is also packed with naturally derived detoxifiers and plant-powered conditioners. I use this product one to two times a week.

L’Oreal Paris EverPure Hair Sheet Mask

This one was a first for me as I had never used or heard of hair sheet masks. I’ve used hair masks before but the L’Oreal Paris EverPure Hair Sheet Mask is a bit different. Here’s how you use it:

Steps for EverPure Hair Sheet Mask Use:

  1. Before getting in the shower, open the packet and unfold the sheet mask
  2. Shampoo hair and rinse.
  3. Twist hair into cap with flap facing forward. Seal sticker. Gently massage the cap so hair is coated. Leave on for 5 minutes
  4. Remove mask and rinse

There are two kinds of this EverPure Hair Sheet Mask: Deep Moisture and Intense Repair. I’m partial to the Deep Moisture Hair Sheet Mask due to having curly hair that can be on the drier side.

Birchbox Millennial LTE Box

Birchbox’s Millennial LTE Box is such a fun one! It includes everything you need for the perfect selfie: Bluetooth Selfie Stick, Pink Selfie Light, Emoji Heart Eyes Pop Socket, Glamglow Bubblesheet Oxygenating Deep Cleanse Mask, Verb Ghost Oil, Smith & Cult Lip Laquer in Now Kith, Milk Makeup Liquid Strobe in Ultraviolet, and Touch in Sol Metallist Liquid Foil Lipstick Duo.
